Majik Forest – An Outdoor Adventure tucked away in the Northen Suburbs

Whether you are keen on a mini adventure or want to enjoy a picnic under the trees whilst the kids play . We reckon Majik Forest an outing all ages can enjoy. The best part is that its a free activity.

We love doing the trail walk as it’s short and easy which makes it more suitable for little ones . Lots of shady bits on the walk and beautiful lawns for a picnic afterwards. With a couple drinks , snacks and our picnic mat in the hiking bag it’s a whole outing with minimal effort.

What to expect:

Majik Forest is a public park contains a multitute of activities for families
On the one side is a paved walk way and on the other side a short hike on gravel. We usually start by the hiking side and do a loop all the way to the picnic/ paved side
The trail terrain is mostly flat with some rocky bits. The trail is part sunny and part shadey
The paved path is in full sun but with plenty of shadey trees to sit under
Plenty of benches , a jungle gym and obstacle course on the paved side
There's also an educational walk in biodiversity with 2 benches along the way

Good to know:

This is a protected conservation area in Tygervalley , Northern Suburbs .
No balloons , no swimming , no fire , no picking of plants / flowers, no littering .
Dogs on leads allowed.
No entry free - its a free outing
Two options for an entry points with parking is available either off Jip De Jager Road or behind the Majik forest shopping centre .
 There are no amblution blocks availble but we usually visit Majik Forest Shopping center before or after for a bathroom break
