An adventurous family-friendly outing in Century City!

Intaka Island is tucked away like a little hidden gem, it truly is a green oasis for nature-loving families to wander scenic trails and appreciate protected wetlands and all of the biodiversity that comes with them.

What to expect:

There’s so much to explore, from the medicine herb garden to the bird hides, and you can even book a boat ride.
Walking around the island is about a 2km easy walk with footpaths that are mostly flat and clearly marked.
You can do a self-guided (walk at your own pace and time ) or a guided tour.
There are 9 stations that you will have access to on the self-guided trail, each offering you a different insight into the bird, water life, flora, and fauna of Intaka Island.
We found the ferry ride very insightful. It lasts approximately 35 minutes, so we loved combining it with a self-guided walk.

Day visitor entry only for self-walks:
- Adults 12 years and older R35

- Children Between 3years - 11 years R22

- Pensioner 60 years and older R22
For a boat ride and entrance to explore the whole island combo price is:

- Pensioner 60 years + R90
