Spier Hotel: A Sanctuary for Little Explorers and Parents Alike

The space truly is like an oasis of luxury and relaxation for both parents and kids.

We’ve stayed at this incredible family-friendly hotel twice, and it will always be one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a Winelands escape.

What to expect at Spier Hotel:

It's a whole family fun experience from the minute you check in, with a great variety of activities for the whole family.
Luxurious rooms with air conditioning, a fireplace, a minibar, coffee station in the rooms. WiFi and room service.
We booked inter-leading suites so the kids could be connected while still having their own space. They also have 2-bed private villas complete with a private pool, butler and chef!
The Buzz club is the hotel's exclusive Kids club for children 3-12 yrs. The kids did different activities like baking biscuits from scratch, painting, and the space has a lot of open-ended toys and books.
Babysitting services are also available for children under 3 years.
Both the kids club and the Spa is walking distance.
The Spa has apothecary-inspired interiors, and the staff is lovely and professional. A space that invites you to completely unwind and slow down.

Spier might be well known for their impeccable wines, but their food will blow you away. With a pasture-to-plate ethos, it’s not hard to see why.

Dining options include :
- Garden Room Restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

- Veld Restaurant for dinner, both with kids’ menus and high chairs for the smallies

- On the estate, you also have @vadas_inc restaurant, which we can highly recommend

Good to know:

They offer plenty of activities on the farm, from wine tasting to the Elemental Play area for kids to veggie picking and Segway Spier tours.
The tours are super popular and spots are limited, so do book your spot in advance to secure the timeslot of your preference.
Segways are for children 10 yrs or older
Children 6-9 can go with a parent on the e-scooter
Spier Hotel is situated in the heart of the Winelands in Stellenbosch, it's a 45min drive from Cape Town.
