La Motte Bakery in Franschhoek is a family friendly Café that we think is well worth the visit . Especially for the foodies parents and outdoorsy kids.
What we loved about La Motte Bakery is that from the minute you arrive it’s like an exploration begins on your way to the Bakery. You are welcomed by warm friendly staff, walk through the garden and can even pop into their Art Gallery- Ateljee before arriving at this family friendly cafe. The food was fresh , wholesome and made with attention to detail . And of course the nature inspired play area . It was bigger than I anticipated and kept the kids entertained for so long. The children’s favorite part is all the tree swings and the water stream. Before you leave you can also visit their Spens and Farm Shop stocked with local artisan goods.
