Occupied Play Lab is the newest addition for families in Gardens and the City Center. We love their purposeful approach to play.

This vibrant indoor play space is more than just a pretend play spot. Its thoughtfully curated by an Occupational Therapist. So you can expect a clam and inviting space that encourages learning through play. Here kids are gently guided by Play Guides and encouraged to engaged in fun activities that supports their development.

What to expect at Occupied Play Lab:

An indoor play space designed for children 1-10 years old

A drop and go space with dedicated play guides on hand that engage kids in fun activities .

A qualified OT in studio setting up play and craft stations daily .

Even though it’s a drop and go children 1-3 can have parents stay with their little ones . If it’s your littles first time and you want to hang around and help them get settled you are more than welcome to do so .

The space includes : Dedicated fenced in space for 1-3 yr olds. Lots of pretend play stations from a grocery store kitchen. A work out zone , ball pit and more.

A craft corner , reading, coloring nook and more . All with a keen focus on both fine and gross motor activities.

They have a sweet little ritual they do when you leave . Each child gets a token once they’ve put their shoes on to put in the vending machine at reception . This gets them excited and helps conclude the activity with a small memento to take home

Good to know:

They have a safety gate with a magnetic lock at reception before you arrive at the main entrance door .

Grip socks required , you are welcome to bring your own

There are tables available for parents to sit and work at reception .

They are also opposite Vida coffee shop and I believe they will be adding on more to their offering in the near future .

Play sessions cost : Under 3 years 90-minute session at R220per child 3 years and older 90-minute session at R295 per child They also have packages available .
